Ada L. Kelleher

Ada L. Kelleher, 75 of Gordon, passed away Tuesday January 15, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the New Gordon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn Thursday, 6~8 p.m.
Ada was born on March 10, 1943 in Lawton, OK to Edgar Sperling and Oma (Merriman) Sperling. She graduated from Gordon High School. She married Thomas D. Kelleher on November 2, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lawton. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tommy Kelleher on August 14, 1982.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Ada had been a nurse, cook, florist, homemaker, and business owner, but her passion was raising her family.
Survivors include 3 sons, Edgar, Stacy, and Jimmy; a daughter, Tracy; a brother, Ashley; a sister, Edwina; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
