Alice Virginia Baker, age 92 went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2016. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Hart Cemetery in Stephens County. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger.
Alice was born October 28, 1923 in Farmsville, Tx to Clayborn and Myrtle (Tombs) Clifton. She was a wonderful cook and waitress.
She is survived by brother, Kenneth Clifton of Ranger; 5 sisters; Beth Baker of Garland, Joyce Miller of Colony, Jewel Crouch of Duncanville, Sandi Andrews of La Mesa, and Francis Glaswright of Sulphur Springs; 32 nieces and nephews; and 56 great nieces and nephews.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, George, Holice, Johnny, and James Clifton; and 2 sisters, Jennie Clifton and Iva Bell O’Brien.
