The Lord opened his ever-merciful arms to our loving mother, Alice Jane Munn Davidson, on July 23, 2021, at the age of 91. Known to everyone as Jane, she slipped away peacefully in her home in Olden, Texas, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest
Jane was born in Olden, Texas, to Vera Velma Turnbow and Edward Ray Dean Munn. She had one sister, Vera Mae Munn, and one brother, Edward Ray Dean Munn. She married Edwin P. Davidson (Ret. M.Sgt. - USAF) on September 2, 1949, in Eastland, Texas, at the Eastland First United Methodist parsonage. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to Jane. She enjoyed sitting with friends over coffee and loved any occasion that surrounded her with family. Jane’s pride was her four children, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In 1970, Jane and Edwin returned to Eastland and built a home in Olden, Texas. Over the years, she enjoyed Olden school reunions, supported community center events and the Eastland County Food Pantry. Three of Jane’s children were Eastland Mavericks, so she spent many years supporting EISD events. Jane was an Eastland Home Extension Club member. She was an active member of the Eastland First United Methodist Church for over forty years.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin P. Davidson, sister, Vera Mae Munn, and parents.
