Alice Commie Hallmark

EASTLAND– Alice Commie Hallmark, 93, of Eastland, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. Graveside Services will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Simpson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.

Commie was born February 1, 1921 in Jones County, TX, to Hubert and Alda (Whitley) Seago. She married A.F. Hallmark on June 16, 1937 in Gorman and they were happily married for 52 years. Commie was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where she was active in the women’s auxiliary. Commie loved to do crafts, sew and had a great love for country gospel. Commie was a loving, caring and godly woman who will be missed by all that knew her. Granny Goose and Papa Goose are happily reunited in heaven’s arms.

Commie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Hallmark; son, Freddie Hallmark; brother, Wayne Seago; daughter in law, Lavell Hallmark and great granddaughter, Kayde Hallmark.

Commie is survived by her sons; Jim Hallmark and wife Ora of Eastland, Jerry Hallmark of San Angelo, Bob Hallmark and wife Regina of Arkansas and daughter, Linda Porter and husband Boyd of Eastland; brother, CW Seago and wife Betty of New Mexico; 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
