Andrew Paul "Andy" Reeves, left for his heavenly journey on June 8, 2021, his 64th birthday, 6 months after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme brain cancer.
Andy was born in Eastland, Texas to his father, Andrew Poe Reeves, Jr, and his mother, Lloyd Frances Mize Reeves, both of who preceded him in death.
He grew up in Saginaw, Texas and attended W.E. Boswell High School, and then joined the Navy. When he returned from the Navy, he made his home in the Ft. Worth area until returning to Eastland and Ranger for several years.
Andy was kind, compassionate, generous, and loving, always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
His smile made the world brighter. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He was devoted to his Christian faith, was an avid Bible reader, and loved sharing his faith with others. He prayed daily for all his family, friends, and anyone in need. He spent the last several years living near Weatherford, Texas with his sister Frankie and her husband Vijay, helping to take care of the pets and farm animals who all seemed to love Andy. His favorite moments of each day were sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee, listening to music, and watching the kid goats racing in the field, and climbing trees.
He is survived by his sister, Frankie and her husband Vijay Krishnan, and a brother, Jerry Reeves.
Andy was laid to rest Thursday alongside his parents in the family's private cemetery in Eastland, Texas.
Andy's family would like to thank all those who offered support, love, and prayers.
When you prayed for Andy your prayers were for one of the finest human beings that has ever walked this planet and we thank you for the part that you played in his life and ours and for being our family of support when we needed it the most.
A special smile, a special face,
in our hearts a special place.
Memories are a gift to treasure,
ours of you will last forever.
