Ashley Nichole Greene

April 15, 1985 — July 7, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished daughter, sister, and friend, Ashley Nichole Greene. On Friday July 7, 2023, Ashley’s valiant battle with leukemia came to an end leaving behind a community of loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Born on April 15, 1985 in Athens, TX, Ashley was a bright and compassionate soul from the very beginning. She graduated from Eastland High School in 2003 and continued her education in nursing. Nothing was more important to her than spreading joy to the people around her and cherishing time with family. Ashley grew up in and valued her close-knit family, and the surrounding love and support shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Ashley possessed an unwavering determination and a radiant spirit that touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ashley could nurture anything from the ground up. She loved gardening beautiful flowers and fresh vegetables to share with her family. No one was more easy-going and patient when it came to resolving issues. Ashley made every situation better with her sense of humor and resilience. She would spend any free moment she had outside with her babies or cooking and baking special pastries for her family. She would do anything to take care of the people around her and make them happy. Ashley is survived by her three beautiful children; Dagan, Slayde and Emrie, who were her main focus in life. She poured all of her love and energy into ensuring their happiness and well-being. Her patience and selflessness will continue to guide and protect their hearts as she watches them from heaven above.

Standing by her side throughout her battle was her loving and adoring husband, Cullen Greene, and her devoted mother and father, Janice Walker and Dennis Walker. Ashley is also survived by her loving sisters Megan Smith, Chelsea Lee, Misty Walker, and Raechelle Shearin with husband Tim Shearin and her brother Tristan Lee.

In addition to being a dedicated mother and loving wife, Ashley was a dear friend to many and had the ability to nurture anything from the ground up. The countless hours she spent volunteering with the Woodbridge Church show the light she had inside and how important it was for her to share her faith and love for God. Ashley shared her compassionate heart with her community serving as an LVN surgical nurse and co-owner of Knotty Edge cabinetry alongside her husband. Her bright smile and contagious laughter could help anyone through the adversities of life.

Ashley’s spirit and unwavering courage became an inspiration to all who knew her. She fought her battle with leukemia bravely, never allowing her illness to define or diminish her incredible spirit. Ashley’s resilience taught us the value of cherishing every single moment and finding strength even in the darkest of times.

Along with her immediate family, Ashley is blessed with many grandparents Wanda Billington, John Billington, Jimmie Lee, Betsy Newton, Norma Jeanne and Jimmie Lee, Betsy and Gary Greene, Barbara and Warren Bailey.
