Barbara Jo Calvert

Barbara Jo Calvert went to be with Our Lord Tuesday December 8, 2020.

Barbara, for many years ran drive in theaters in South Texas. In her later life she loved to paint, sew and visit family. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, and Eastern Star. Barbara spent most of her life in Strawn, Taft, Ranger and present Coleman, Texas. She touched many people in her life and will not be forgotten.

Barbara was born June 30, 1937 in Rush Creek to James William (Jim) Calvert and Roxie Faye Harmon. Second of eight children, Barbara never married but help a dear friend Geraldine raise her young sons Thomas, and Jerry as her own.

Barbara is survived by her sisters Wilma Massey (Richard), Melva Ash (Jerry), And Wanda Alaniz and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Elizabeth and William Harmon; Paternal Grandparents, Nancy and Hill Calvert; Parents, Jim and Faye Calvert; two brothers, Jimmie Lee Calvert, and Kenneth Ray Calvert; two sisters, Patricia Ann Calvert and Joy Faye Beyer; two brothers-in-law, Demetrio Alaniz Jr., and Paul Charles Beyer Sr.; one sister- in-law, Martha Calvert.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1pm Wednesday December 16, 2020 at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn, Tx under the direction of Edward's Funeral Home.
