Barbara Ann Eckhart

Barbara Ann Eckhart, 79 passed from this life to the next on January 19, 2021. A private service was held under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Barbara Ann Curington was born on December 1, 1941 Pampa, Texas to Oscar and Dorothy (Miller) Curington. She married Jerry Eckhart on March 2, 1959 in Indiahoma, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing on August 13, 2019. Barbara was a Baptist and had been a dietician and dietary manager for the Wichita Falls Hospital, and Eastland Memorial Hospital. Later in life she enjoyed substitute teaching in several schools in the Eastland County area.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Rodriguez and husband, Jose and Wendy Mace and husband, Chuck; sons, Timothy M. and Robert J. Eckhart; brother, Oscar Dale Curington; sisters, Danva Meister and husband, Howard, Phyllis Holder and husband, Rick, and Nancy Southard and husband, Kenneth; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Sherry M. Curington, Charlotte L. Yeatherman, and Sandra Dawn Curington.
