Barbara Ann Tipton

Barbara Ann (Obel) Tipton, 79, passed Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home in Fort Worth. Barbara is survived by her brother Sonny and his wife Diane; Barbara’s 3 daughters Ivy and husband John Oglesby, Donna and husband Jerry Wray, and Daughter Wendy Ward; Grandchildren Melanie and Earnest Sukampo, Melissa and Keith Allphin, Misty Oglesby, Cody and Kalee Denton, Kalee’s fiancé, Brandon Bateman and great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ashley, Lucas and Colton.
Barbara was born November 23, 1942 in San Antonio, as the 2nd child of Dorothy Fedelyia Cox and Oscar Lee Obel. Sonny, Barbara, Mary and Joyce spent their childhood in the Mingus and Strawn areas. The family eventually settled in Fort Worth, where Barbara raised her family and worked various jobs.
Services will be held Friday, January 14th at 11:30am, and Barbara will be laid to rest at Mt. Marion next to her husband Roger.
