Barbara Wilson Wheat, 87, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 25th at the Eastside Baptist Church in Ranger with burial to follow in Merriman Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 24th.
Barbara was born on May 23, 1930 in Ranger, Texas to David Franklin Pugh and Mittie Louisa Burk Pugh. She enjoyed being around her family, sewing, and traveling. She loved watching the Dallas Cowboys. Barbara worked for the City of Ranger, where she retired as secretary and Judge.
Barbara is survived by one son, Mark and wife Judy of Ranger; one daughter, Carol Crofford and husband James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Tracy Driskill, Angela Nanny, Samantha Abila, Amanda Cantwell, and Christopher (Lantz) Crofford; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandsons. She is also survived by host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one great grandson.
