Ben L. Kainer, age 92 passed away at this home Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Holy Rosary will be read at 7 pm Friday, December 14th at Edwards Funeral Home at 215 E Housley Street in Strawn. Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Dobson Prairie. Burial will follow at the Dobson Prairie Cemetery.
Ben was born February 20, 1926 in Dobson Prairie to Louis Albert and Josphene Clara Teichman Kainer. He attended school in Gordon and was lifelong resident of the Gordon area. He served during WWII in the US Navy as a Diesel Mechanic and continued to work in Civil Service for the U.S. Government. Ben married Peggy Sue Trott in Mineral Well and she preceded him in death in 2015.
Ben is survived by sons; Ben Kainer, Jr. and wife Raylene and Forrest Kainer, daughters; Achsah Anne Carpenter and husband Gary and Sarah Sue Hill and husband Tommy, and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Linda Leigh Ziedman.
