Betty Louise Coats

Betty Louise Coats, age 86, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Ranger Care Center in Ranger, TX. She was born in Gadsden, AL to Thomas Pruitt and Nancy (Hamlin) Pruitt.
Betty was married to Joe Bob Coats until his passing in 2005. She was a resident of Mingus for over 40 years and a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memory are her step-sons; Gary, Glenn and Randy Coats; grandchildren, J’mi Shannon of Mingus, TX and Angie Shannon of Ft. Worth, TX; great-grandchildren, Brandon Shannon, Alex Burdo and Ashley Shannon; one brother, Johnny Pruitt of Hokes Bluff, AL and one sister, Faye Pollard of Strawn, TX.
She was greeted at the Pearly Gates by her husband, Joe Bob Coats; two sons, Paul Richard Clayton and Johnnie Clayton; one daughter, Anita Shannon McFaddin; step-son; Eddie Coats and her first husband and father of her children, Odis Clayton.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Hannibal Cemetery located at 2516 County Road 111 in Stephenville, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online at www.edwards-funeral-homes.com .
