Betty Jane Gardner

July 16, 1924 — May 23, 2019

RANGER – Betty Jane Gardner, age 94 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her home with her precious family in attendance. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, May 25 at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn, TX.
Betty was born July 16, 1924 in Graford, Texas to Earl and Myrtle Whatley Moon. She was a graduate of Strawn High School. On January 8, 1951 she married WC “Skin” Gardner and after 56 years of marriage he preceded her in death in 2007.
Betty worked in the medical field as a Nurse’s Aide and also as a receptionist doing office work. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Strawn.
She is survived by her 2 sons; Rodney Earl Gardner and wife Kaylan and Ronney Gardner, one grandson, Zac Gardner and nieces and nephews; Joy and Trey Felan, Tommy and Jody Whatley and numerous other cousins.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband and her siblings.
The family would like to thank Encompass home health and Kindred hospice for their continuing and compassionate care.
A special thanks to Maria Mankin and Joy Felan for their numerous hours helping Betty. We knew she had the best care and was deeply loved.

Betty loved beauty and color and always had words of encouragement.
She left a legacy for years to come.
