EASTLAND – Betty Jane Keith, age 77 years young, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, January 18, 2020. Services for Betty will be at 10 am Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry, Eastland. Family and friends will gather from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, January 21 at funeral home. Burial will be in the Eastland City Cemetery.
Betty was born September 20, 1942 in Colorado City, TX to Clyde and Francis Lupton Young. She is a graduate of Eastland High School and attended Howard County College. She married Bill Keith December 1, 1978 in Eastland and from that blessed day, spent the next 41 years as a devoted and loving wife.
While most of Betty’s time was spent as a homemaker she did work for a time as a secretary in the JP’s office and the County Clerk’s office and lastly, at Walmart. Hobbies included wood art and she was an amazing seamstress. She also loved to travel and was often seen hanging out with the girls at the beauty shop catching up on all the latest and important news. But most of all, Betty loved her family and would tell you her greatest joy was her grandbabies.
Betty is survived by her loving husband Bill Keith, sons; Stephen Norris, Frank Norris and wife Sheila, Mike Keith and wife Suzanne, and Chris Norris and wife Shelley, daughters; Betheny Elmore and husband Rick, Julie Joiner and husband Kael, Kay Slavens and husband Terry, Michelle Courtney and husband Rick, and Donnell Nicks, 25 beautiful grandchildren and 20 amazing great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sibling.
