Beverly Gail Nicholson

Beverly Gail Nicholson, 80 of Lake Leon, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Eastland. Burial will follow in the Merriman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home Friday, 6~8 p.m.
Beverly was born January 29, 1939 in San Antonio to Walter B. Read and Elizabeth Louise (Thompson) Read. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, as well as T.C.U. She married Lynn Nicholson on December 29, 1961 in Ranger.
She was the Home Demonstration Agent for Texas A&M Extension Service in Eastland County for 3 years and worked for Texas Electric Company for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Eastland, where she was active in the Praise Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eastland Chapter Order of Eastern Star, as well as a Past President of the Eastland Civic & Garden Club, and past member of Eastland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
She was preceded in death by her son, Brad Alan Nicholson on December 29, 1989.
Survivors include her husband, Lynn Nicholson; and a brother, William A. Read and wife Doris of San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Merriman Cemetery, or to Shriner's Children Hospital.
