Bill Williams

Bill Williams (Mr. Bill), age 65 of Mingus, TX passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 in Ft. Worth, TX. A Memorial Service honoring and celebrating Bill’s life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Strawn High School Gym, in Strawn, TX under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Bill was born March 8, 1949 in Dallas, TX to CC “Bill” Williams and Ola Jones Williams. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University where he received a degree in Ag. Education. He worked for many years in construction, owning Williams Construction Co. Mr. Bill went to work for the Strawn ISD in Maintenance in August 1997 and was still employed there.
On August 26, 1972, Bill married the love of his life, Melissa Kirkpatrick in Glen Rose, Texas. Bill loved his community and was a member of the Strawn Lions Club.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and by his mother-in-law, Donna Kirkpatrick.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melissa, one son: Brady Williams and his wife Angela of Gordon, one daughter: Emily Williams of Mingus. He is survived by one brother: Mike Williams, two brothers-in-law: Shannon Kirkpatrick and wife Lisa, and Brad Kirkpatrick and wife Lynna, father-in-law: BJ Kirkpatrick and two amazing grandchildren: Carson and Kinley Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
