Burnice "Brownie" Jeanett Williams

April 10, 1950 — March 27, 2023

Burnice Jeanett Williams, or as many know her as Brownie, was born April 10, 1950 in Gorman, Tx to Claude and Emma Fox. She left this earth on March 27, 2023. She was the youngest of 10 kids, the only one born at a hospital. Dr. Brown saved her life – hence the nickname Brownie.
She met my dad, Johnny Williams when she was just 13. They married three years later in 1966. She followed my dad around in the oilfield, often going to see him wherever they may have been working. They were married a month shy of 26 years before his death in 1992.
Their first son, Johnny Eugene was born on January 21, 1968 and he passed away January 23, 1968. They were blessed with my brother Teddy, I came 20 months later, and my sister was 18 months after me.
She met Larry Court and they married July 1, 1995. She and Larry enjoyed dancing and going to family events. Larry’s health declined and mom became his caretaker until his death in 2008.
She met Gordon when they needed each other the most. Gordon “Sweety” as she called him was her fun. She got to do things and see places she had never been. She even went out on the truck with him. She enjoyed every minute. Gordon stood be her side through both of her bouts with Cancer. He took care of her till the end. Gordon, I will forever be grateful for that. She loved you very much.
My mom was a very strong woman. She taught me that you treat everyone equal. No one was better than me and no one was beneath me. She loved everyone. If you knew her, you knew she took everyone under her wing.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Emma Fox; her brothers, Bud, Nick, James, George, Melvin, and Claudie; her sisters, Lucille, Wanda, and Linda; our dad, Johnny Williams and Larry Court; and her son, Johnny Eugene.
She is survived by her “Sweety” Gordon Shaw; her kids, Teddy Williams, Sandy and Salvador Hernandez, Judy and Phillip Murdock; her grandkids, Tony Murdock and Telecia, Amanda and Landon Holley, Gage and Heather Hernandez, and Jaden Hernandez; her great-grandkids, Alex, Emma, Chloe, Alli, Liam, Haiden, and Holden; as well as many others that she claimed as hers; and many nieces and nephews!
Mom, I will love you and miss you till the end of my days.
