Camilla Adams, 81, of Ranger, Texas passed away Saturday November 17, 2012 at Eastland Memorial Hospital. Camilla was born August 20, 1931 in Bluff Dale, Texas to Levi Ben and Zella Vivian (Mauldin) Gordon. Camilla came to Ranger from Trent, Texas when she was twelve. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1949 and went to college for two years. She married H.G. Adams JR. in 1950 in Ranger, Texas. They had two children Bobby and Becky whom they loved dearly. Together with her husband and son, she was the owner and operator of Adams Grocery and Butcher Shop. She was an artist and some of her paintings graced the walls of the grocery store.
Camilla was a member of the Mesquite Rusk Church of Christ, the Ranger Beautification Committee, and the 47 Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include her son: Bobby Adams of Ranger, Texas, her daughter: Becky Underwood and husband Randy of Lubbock, Texas, Grandsons: Brandt Underwood and fiancée Christie Stanley, Keith Underwood and wife Julie and great grandchildren Aubrey, Lucas, and Dustin Underwood.
Services were held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger officiated by Drew Hyde. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made for Camilla Adams to Ranger Beautification Committee through First Financial Bank, 106 Main Street, Ranger, Texas 76470, Attn: Mary Jo Williams or to a charity of your choice.
