Carlos Byron Storm, 66, of Abilene and formerly of Eastland, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Abilene. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Eastland with Rev. Jim Wright and Dr. Shawn Brewer officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Carlos was born on January 5, 1946 in Seminole, TX to Clinton L. Storm and Rue A. Kerns. He married Dana DeWoody on August 25, 1967 in Tyler, TX. He was a pumper in the oil field and a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Abilene. Carlos was an avid sports fan, especially drag racing, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, as well as a daughter, Stacey Storm.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Storm; 2 sons, Stephen Storm and Scott Storm; his father, Clinton L. Storm; 2 brothers, Mark Storm and Brian Storm; a sister, Annette Gross; and 5 grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts made in honor of Carlos be given to First Baptist Church of Eastland or Highland Church of Christ in Abilene, TX for the purchase of Bibles for overseas missions.
