It is with heavy hearts but joyful memories that we announce the passing of Carol J. Chamberlain, who departed this life on March 19, 2025. Born on December 15, 1937, in Dallas, TX, Carol was a vibrant force of nature, beloved by all who knew her.
A dedicated mother, loving wife, and cherished friend, Carol married her soulmate, Charles R. Chamberlain, on December 18, 1989, in Breckenridge, TX. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Carol's passion for nursing shone brightly during her career and she continued to serve her community as a devoted volunteer at Eastland Memorial Hospital from April 2009 until 2015, where her infectious spirit and enthusiasm were felt by many. She was a tireless advocate for the hospital's volunteers, enthusiastically recruiting new members and organizing events that brought joy to those around her.
Carol's zest for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. A true adventurer at heart, she relished every moment spent riding horses, barrel racing, and attending rodeos. Her love for camping, fishing, and golfing with family formed many cherished memories, and she truly thrived during many camping trips with her family. Carol's vibrant personality made her the life of the party. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, having never met a stranger, always welcoming them with a warm smile, an open heart and endless conversation.
She was very devoted to her family and friends and she cherished every poker night and camping excursion spent together, solidifying bonds that will forever remain strong. Carol leaves behind her loving husband Charles R. Chamberlain of Eastland; her children, Alan Stone and wife, Tiffani of Tyler, Charla McDaniel and husband, Lynn of Eastland, Mike Chamberlain of Pennsylvania, and Debbie Staud of Valliant, OK; and her treasured grandchildren, Taylor and Brett Butler, Cameron Hull, Janci and Chaz Booth, and Garrett Stone and great-grandchildren; Brinlee, Hadlee and Jayda Booth and Granger and Leah Stone and her precious fur baby Piper of fifteen years.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita "Gigi" Roberts.
