Carolyn Carter Bays

Carolyn Carter Bays, a loving mother and grandmother, 67, passed away Sunday September 20, 2015 due to a brief illness in Ft. Worth, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Strawn, Texas on Thursday September 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Lingleville, Texas at West End Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Lively will be officiating the services.

Carolyn was born January 9, 1948 in May, Texas to the late Jesse & Allene Carter. She married Carroll Dwayne Bays February 18, 1972 in Lingleville, Texas. Carolyn was a loving mother to her children and adored her grandchildren. She was a member of the Merriman Baptist Church in Ranger, Texas.
She is survived by her son Brett Bays and wife Holly of Eastland, Texas; son Carey Bays and wife Bonita of Waco, Texas; daughter Shawni Fambro and husband Josh of Strawn, Texas; daughter Daylor Gonzales and husband Lino of Winters, Texas; a sister Billie Mahaney of Eastland, Texas; many nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Carroll Bays, daughter Sharrie Bays, brothers Eldon, Joe and Cecil Carter.

Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral home in Strawn, Texas on Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Family visitation will start at 5 pm.
