Charlene Rose Bearden

Charlene Rose Bearden, 84 of Mingus, passed away Monday Sept 27, 2021 in Eastland. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Dodson Prairie. Burial will follow in the Dodson Prairie Cemetery.
Charlene was born February 3, 1937 in Gordon to Charlie Popp and Clara (Guenther) Popp. She graduated from Gordon High School. She married Douglas Bearden on April 27, 1956 in Strawn. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Janet Marie Bearden.
Charlene was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Saint Anne Alter Society, and the Mingus Women’s Club.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra Bearden, and Beverly Lawrence and husband Brian; 2 granddaughters, Sara Mesa and husband Joseph, and Samantha Lawrence-Cole and husband Braden; 3 sisters, Patricia Boerner and husband JR, Margaret Conditt and husband Larry, and Carolyn Doyle and husband Kinneth; and many nieces and nephews.
