Charles W. Tibbels

Charles William Tibbels, 76 of Ranger, passed away Thursday June 9, 2016 in Eastland. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Ranger with Ronny Guess officiating. Burial will follow at the Bullock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger Sunday, 3 ~ 5 p.m.
Mr. Tibbels was born August 17, 1939 in Ranger to Fred Tibbels and Jewel (Smith) Tibbels. He married Betty Napier on August 17, 1963 in Ranger. He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; a son, Sherman W. Tibbels and wife Lori; a daughter, Lesley Boelter and husband Allen; a brother, Harris Russell “Pete” Tibbels and wife Kay; 2 sisters, Billie Joe Newman and husband Jack, and Sandra Welch; and 2 grandchildren, Carolina & Jacob Boelter.
