– Christine “Chris” Williams, age 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home. Christine White Williams was born in New Castle on Tyne, England to Alice and Jim White but was raised by her single parent Alice. She lived in England through her school years and then came to America and jumped into American life with full force. She attended nursing school at Odessa College and was named nursing student of the year for two years and was Valedictorian of her class for two years receiving her RN degree. She met and later married Carroll Williams on December 29, 1965 in Alpine, TX.
Chris loved people and was very active socially – she never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling with her musical husband to all the local musicals and dances. She just loved life. She was a member of the American Nursing Association and worked locally at the Eastland Nursing Home and Rehab before retiring. Chris loved the Lord and was a member at the Lake Leon Baptist Church. But Chris’ greatest love was for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 wonderful years, Carroll Wayne Williams, son Kevin Williams and wife Patricia of Austin, daughter Allison Roy and husband Kelan of Eastland, Grandson Kristian “Alex” Williams and his fiancé Ashley Ramirez of Midland and one sister, Rosalind Wilson and husband Robert who still lives in England.
