Christina Michelle Vass

EASTLAND– Christina Michelle Vass, 47 of Eastland, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord, Monday, September 13, 2021. Memorial services will be held at Merriman Baptist Church in Ranger on Friday September 17, 2021 at 11 am.
Christy was born October 19, 1973 in Marion, OH. Was adopted by Jerry and Joanna Hooper in December of 1985. She married Dustin Vass on August 28, 2020 at their residence in Olden, TX. Christy enjoyed quality time with her husband and family. She loved cooking and baking various cakes and dishes. She was a loyal and devoted Mother, Grand Mother, Sister, Wife, Daughter and friend. Christy was a selfless servant to many children through the years as a smiling lunch lady in the Mansfield School system. With a big heart and a big smile, she fed thousands of Children and provided for hundreds who couldn’t provide for themselves.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanna Hooper on April 1, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Vass; her children, Allen and Theressa Huyck; the father of her children and husband of 27 years, Danny Huyck; her granddaughter, Rebel Wilson; her father, Jerry Hooper; sisters, Virginia Howard, Misty Hidrogo, and Elizabeth Jones; brothers, JD, John, and Deric Hooper; 17 nieces and nephews; 23 great nieces and nephews; many loving friends and church family that will miss her dearly.
