Claude Audrey Rodgers, 96 of Ranger, passed away Monday January 3, 2022 in Eastland. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 10th at the Evergreen Cemetery with Wade Berry officiating.
He was born February 14, 1925 in Ranger to Clyde Montgomery Rodgers and Myrtle Lucinda (Baker) Rodgers. After graduating from Ranger High School Class of 1943, he entered the military. He married Lela Mae Griffith on March 11, 1955 in Ranger. She preceded him in death in 2008. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Woodie Rodgers, and 2 daughters, Delores Rodgers and Linda Weeaks.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Ranger where he served as a Deacon. He retired from EBAA Iron, enjoyed doing yardwork, drawing and whittling, and especially loved his Dr. Peppers and shortbread cookies.
Survivors include 2 sons, Roy Rodgers and wife Wendy, and Gilbert Rodgers and wife Sharmon; 1 daughter, Nelda Rodgers; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
