Mulberry St. in Eastland, TX on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Saturday at the Daugherty St. Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at the Eastland City Cemetery.
Cliff was born November 6, 1925, the second child of Andrew Franklin & Dennie Jewell Beck. He attended school in Morton Valley, TX. He had lots of fun as a kid hunting, trapping, skinning & fishing. He was quite an athlete, participating in various sports as a young man and an adult. He married Jo Jane Nix on July 16, 1943. They had one son, Wesley William, and three daughters, Janie Dale, Lendy Lou, and Nixie Jo. The family lived in Morton Valley, Breckenridge, Eastland, and Mingus. Cliff and Jo Jane moved back to Eastland before his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed golfing, especially at Lake Side Golf Course where you could find him mowing fairways and doing maintenance on equipment when he wasn’t playing. He made some really good friends on the golf course and also had four holes-in-one. He also enjoyed traveling and playing cards with his family.
He is survived by a dear sister, Wanda Skinner; daughters, Lendy Henry and her husband Bud, and Nixie Roach and her husband Lynn; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond; wife, Jo Jane; son, Wesley; daughter, Janie; and last year a dear sister-in-law, Pebble Harrison and a great-grandson, Alex Henry.
Cliff loved God and his church. He prayed for his family daily. He will be greatly missed by all.
