Clovis Gaye Allen

Clovis Gaye Allen, 69 of Mingus, passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Doty Cemetery in Gordon. Viewing will be Friday, 9 a.m. ~ 5 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. 215 E. Housley, Strawn, TX.
Mrs. Allen was born October 29, 1948 in Purcell, OK to William Lloyd Smith and Helen (Waggoner) Smith. She attended school in Lindsey, OK. She married Tommie Allen on March 5, 1966 in Lindsey, OK. Along with her husband, she was a truck driver for 20 years. They had lived in Mingus for 14 years. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Tommie Allen; a son, Thomas Allen (TW) (Tricia); 2 daughters, Tynisa Lowrence (Lee), and Davalin Adams; a brother, Calvin Smith (Dana); a sister, Barbara Powell (Frank); 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lloyd Smith and Helen Smith; brother, Clayton Smith; and sister, Carol Chappell.
