EASTLAND – Connie Sue Tucker, age 67 closed her eyes and went to be with Jesus Friday, November 16, 2018 at her home. It was Connie’s wishes to be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the Eastland City Cemetery, November 30, 2018.
Connie was born May 29, 1951 in Spur, Texas to James Milton and Lela Deiva Ware Turner. She attended high school in Lovington, NM but choose to receive her GED instead of graduate. She was a Baptist and was baptized at Love Street Baptist Church in Lovington, NM many years ago.
December 9, 1988 she married F.H. Tucker in San Antonio and was blessed to be a loving housewife and mother. As far as memberships, her family states, “She was a member of the Best Nana in the World Club.” She loved delivering and retrieving her girls from Mulberry School, teaching them to tie their shoes, fixing them sausage and toast with blackberry jelly – with no seeds, hosting Friday night sleepovers, defending their honor to Mom and Dad, providing “go buy yourself something” funds and attending Lady Mavs volleyball and softball games where Connie was both the girl’s Number 1 Fan. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her precious dog and companion Minnie.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 30 years, F.H. Tucker, Sons; Kevin Hernandez and wife Jennifer of Parks, AZ and Michael Hernandez of Duncan, AZ, Daughter; Jennifer Bonilla and husband Rene of Eastland and Step Daughter; Angie Hill of Early, TX. Brothers; Roy Turner of Eastland, James Turner of San Angelo, Grandchildren; Brooke, Kannon, Kameron, Demory, Lauren, and Anthony and great-grandchildren; Jack and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lela Turner and a baby brother who passed away at birth.
