Cora Alleene Holbrook

Cora Alleene Holbrook, 75, of Ranger, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday July 12, 2015 in Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger Wednesday, 6~8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Holbrook was born September 14, 1939 in Beeville, TX to Merlin McCann Walker and Nina Irene (Bradshaw) Walker. She married GHL Holbrook on September 29, 1961 in Weatherford, TX. She moved to Ranger in 1981 where she was a homemaker, and a member of the 2nd Baptist Church. Mr. Holbrook preceded her in death on November 29, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 step-sons, Sammy Holbrook, and Mickey Holbrook.
Survivors include 5 sons, James Holbrook of Bridgeport, David Holbrook & wife Laura of Ranger, Oscar Holbrook & wife J’Lynn of Ranger, Clifton Holbrook of Ranger, and Joseph Holbrook & wife Gloria of Bridgeport; a step-son, Jimmy Holbrook of Chicago; 4 step-daughters, Virginia Brewer of Weatherford, Katherine Brewer of Ft. Worth, Dorothy Brewer of Dallas, and Peggy Brewer of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Buddy Holbrook, Robert Holbrook, Stephen Holbrook, Ashley Hunter, Eric Holbrook, Miriah Holbrook, Aaron Holbrook, Justin Holbrook, Timothy Holbrook, Bradley McCool, Christopher Holbrook; and numerous
great-grandchildren; and extended family.
