Dakota Mares, age 16, passed from this life February 11, 2018 at home. Services for Dakota will be at 11am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home at 411 South Mulberry, Eastland, TX. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Dakota was born on July 15, 2001 in Stephenville, TX to Benjamin and Martha Mares Moreno and spent his short life in Carbon. He attended Eastland schools as a sophomore and was active in the Mighty Maverick Band. He loved going hunting and fishing and was an accomplished hunter.
He is survived by his parents, 2 brothers; Logan and Luke Mares and 1 sister, Damita Mares and a big extended family who loved him dearly. Dakota will be miss by his family and his many friends.
