Danny Ray Hobbs

Danny Hobbs of Eastland passed on to his heavenly home on Sunday December 8th, 2019 at his home. He was born to Bill and Pearl Hobbs on January 24, 1948 in Lockney, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, and one grandson. He is survived by his sisters Ora Hallmark and Velma Bowles both of Eastland as well as his wife of 50 years Audrey Hobbs of Eastland. His five children William Hobbs, Kevin Hobbs, Bruce Hobbs, Sam Hobbs, and Leah McCarty. His Son-in-law Jacob McCarty and daughter-in-law Amy Harris Hobbs. He is also survived by his 8 grandkids. Steven and Bailey Hobbs, Ryan Hobbs, April Hobbs, Joanna Dickey, Heather Dickey, Dana Hobbs, Hannah Hobbs, and Josh Hobbs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his local VFW, and loved his family. He was an employee of Burgess in Cisco, Texas for 35 years where he retired in 2010. He was loved by all that knew him. Gone but not forgotten, always in our hearts you will be. Edwards Funeral Home is handling the services. Visitation will be Thursday December 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry, Eastland. The motorcade will leave the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. after the visitation for a graveside/burial services at Bear Springs Cemetery.
