Most only knew him by “Pappy”. An avid fisherman, proficient creator, crafter and refurbisher who was always up for a challenge to make something old look brand new. He could be seen around town mowing numerous properties or picking up pecans. And anyone who knew Pappy also knew any time was a great time to go fishin’. But if you went with Pappy, you better plan to be gone for a while because he was never one to call “calf rope!”.
The world was a better place with Pappy in it, and he will be missed by many.
Visitation is Monday November 22 at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Funeral Tuesday November 23 at 2:00, First Baptist Church Strawn with Bro. Michael Orsini officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to C.A.R.E Animal Rescue-Mingus PO Box 363 Mingus, TX 76463 or www.care4rescue.org .
