David Fred Newman

David Fred Newman, 67, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Eastland. Visitation was Monday, May 5th from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. Ronnie Ray officiated the graveside services on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastland City Cemetery.
Fred was born February 22, 1947 in Brady, Texas, to Fred Newton Newman and Etoral Gibbs Newman. He married Judy Billington on April 6, 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona. They moved to Eastland in 1975 where Fred worked for Moylan Construction Company as an equipment operator for more than 25 years. Fred loved his family, wood working, and most of spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Fred is survived by his wife Judy of Eastland; sons, Chris and wife Georgia of Eastland and Shane and wife Adelita of May; granddaughter, Christin of Abilene; grandsons, Tommy and Taylor of May and Ethan of Eastland; sisters, Ramona Nicholson of Austin, Quona Fron of Ranger, Avis White of Ft. Worth, Marline Perkins of Comanche, OK, Lawuana Woods of Temple, OK; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his parents, and a son Troy.
Fred was a loving and hardworking husband, dad, PaPa, and brother. He will be missed by many.
