Deborah "Debbie" Zarate

Deborah “Debbie” Zarate, 55 of Eastland, passed away Monday January 29, 2018 in Abilene. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland with Rev. Jerry Maston officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Eden City Cemetery in Eden, TX, where she will be laid to rest by her loving mother who preceded her in March, 2017.
Debbie was born on March 10, 1962 in Menard, TX to Steve Zarate and Olivia (Gevera) Zarate. After high school she obtained her Beautician license and had owned Debbie’s Hair Designs in Eastland for many years. She also was a House Supervisor for Rock House Springs for several years. Debbie was a caregiver by nature, and was always volunteering wherever there was a need. She was a wonderful artist and loved giving her paintings to family and friends. She excelled at whatever she tried; pottery, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Eastland.
Survivors include her father, Steve Zarate of Cisco; a brother, Eric Zarate (Jennifer) of Waxahachie; a sister, Sandra Zarate of San Angelo; niece, Abigael Zarate of Waxahachie; and many friends that will miss her.
