Don R. Neville, 86, passed from this life to the next on Saturday, February 27, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Don was born on September 17, 1934 in Brownwood, Texas to Russell T. and Iva Mae (Perkins) Neville. He married Pauline Thomas on February 11, 1955 in Lovington, NM, and she preceded him in death in 2017. Don proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was the head chef at Café 66 in Snyder prior to moving to Ranger in 1967 where he became a machinist and established the long running family-owned Neville Machine Shop, which he operated until his retirement. Don loved the outdoors, tending to his cattle and fruits trees, and also hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Neville, Paula Dunn, and Jennifer Maddle; grandchildren, Nick Neville, Thomas Dunn, Katy Dunn, and Jessica Baker; and great-grandchildren, Alli and Cade Neville, JJ Dunn, and Katherine Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 63 years; son, Rusty Neville; brother, Bob Neville; sisters, Nancy Tumlinson and Patsy Steigle; and grandchildren, Mikey Neville and Stevie Dunn.
