Doris Ann Mccoy

Doris Ann McCoy, 87, passed away Thursday June 8, 2017 in Abilene. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland on Monday, June 12th. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Eastland. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery.
Doris was born on August 2, 1929 in Rising Star, TX to Samuel Albert Steddum and Pearl Amarillo (Ward) Steddum. Siblings- Naomi Louise, Betty Ruth, Albert Wayne, and Bobby Joe.
Marriage- August 6, 1948 to Clarence Lee Roy “Pete” McCoy
Employment- Retired from Hollywood Vassarette after 33 years, then became a small business owner
Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Roy “Pete” McCoy (June 2, 1986); daughter, Deborah Ann McCoy (1951); Son, Dennis Roy McCoy (2003); Father, Samuel Albert Steddum (1970); Mother, Pearl Amarillo Ward (1986); Sister, Naomi and Sister Betty Ruth, and grandson Logan Van McCoy (2000).
She is survived by: children- Rodney Lee McCoy and wife Jennifer; Steve Clark and wife Mary; Darla Ruth Harmon and husband Ron; Tina Kay Smith and husband Jeff; Roy Lee McCoy and wife Jamie.
Grandchildren- Jeffrey Lee McCoy and wife Meredith; Vannessa Ann Swanson and husband Dennis; Debra Ruth Frailey; Leanne Baskin; Wendy Marietta and husband Greg; Lindsey Suire and husband Cory; Hannah McCoy; Kaitlyn McCoy and Madison McCoy
