Doris Marie Morrow, 79 of Eastland, passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at home. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery.
Doris was born February 1, 1942 in Thalia, Tx to Eligha Govan and Amelia (Green) Govan. She married William L. Morrow on March 16, 1959. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1997. She was a Baptist, and a loving caretaker at local hospitals and nursing homes for many years. She had a great love for cats and dogs, enjoyed baking and cooking and was famous for her peach cobbler. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, and keeping up with current issues. And most of all, she had a passion for laughing and conversating with her family and friends.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Ella Morrow, Becky Casey, and Pam Morrow; sister, Patricia Govan; sister-in-law, Labertha Govan; son-in-law, James Blunt; 2 grandchildren, Kisha Johnson and Jaleesa Garcia; great-grandchildren, Byron, Arianna, Ayden & Jayden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
