Dorothy D. Knerr, 90, of Lake Palo Pinto passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Interment will be held at the Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio. Local arrangements were under the directions of Edwards Funeral Home, Strawn, TX.
Dorothy was born January 22, 1925 in Fairchance, Pennsylvania to Samuel Sutton and Eliza (Cooley) Sutton. She graduated from Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. She married Billy B. Knerr on July 2, 1949 in Toledo. They lived in Florida before moving to Lake Palo Pinto in 2002. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper/secretary. She enjoyed bowling, watching soap operas, reading, working crossword puzzles, as well as collecting china figurines. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gordon.
Survivors include her husband, Billy B. Knerr; a son, Timothy Knerr & wife Linda; 2 grandchildren, Kathryn & Patrick; and sister-in-law, Betty Carsten.
