Duane Samuel Poe, 48, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 17, 2015. A private graveside memorial service will be Jan. 31st at the Eastland Cemetery in the W.S. Poe family plot.
Mr. Poe was born December 27, 1966 in Silver Springs, Maryland to Galand S. Poe, Jr. and Nell (Franny) Pringle Poe. In 1967 he moved to Texas and lived there until 1997. At that time he moved to New Mexico where he lived until his death in 2015.
Duane Poe was a member of Legacy Church in Albuquerque where he was videographer. In high school he played football and basketball and had a lifelong passion for fishing and golfing. He took pride in being an accomplished cabinet maker, which was his profession.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberline Newlander-Poe; daughter Natalie Conner and husband Wesley of Denton, TX; sisters, Gay Lynn Banos and husband Steve of Albuquerque, NM; and Penny Elizabeth Hill and husband Michael of Charlotte, NC; father, Galand S. Poe, Jr. of Emory, TX; mother, Franny McQuien and husband Woody of Albuquerque, NM; and his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Galand S. Poe, Sr. of Eastland, TX, Mary Elizabeth Vaught of Eastland, TX, and William Lloyd (Buck) Pringle and wife Dorothy of Mesquite, TX, and stepmother, Valoris Poe of Emory, TX
