August 23, 1947 — February 28, 2025

Earl Dean Ragland, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 23, 1947, in McCamey, TX, he was the cherished son of Johnny Dean and Vera Mae (Craddock) Ragland. Earl's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a passion for making the most of every day.

Earl married the love of his life, Mary Been, on October 1, 1982, in Desdemona, TX. Together, they built a beautiful family, and shared countless memories filled with laughter and joy. Earl was a proud father to his daughter, Rebecca Massingill, and he cherished deeply the bonds he shared with his brothers, Larry and Gary Ragland.

As a devoted member of the Daugherty Street Church of Christ, Earl's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He served his community with great pride during his impressive 59-year tenure as a Senior Network Technician for Oncor (formerly TXU). Earl spent many years volunteering and fundraising for Foster's Home for Children in Stephenville. His commitment to service, both in his profession and personal life, inspired many.

Earl was known for his love of golf; a sport that brought him joy and camaraderie. He relished every moment spent on the course, surrounded by friends and fellow golf enthusiasts.

A visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland on March 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, allowing family and friends to gather and share memories of Earl's full and vibrant life.
