With heavy hearts but joyous spirits, we announce the passing of Efrain Pinales Rodriguez, who left us peacefully on December 6, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on November 4, 1946, in Nieves, Zacatecas, Mexico, Efrain was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Efrain led a rich and fulfilling life, dedicated to his work as a foreman for Andrews Ranch and earlier, as a skilled butcher. He was a man of great faith and actively contributed to his community, serving as a youth minister and a baseball coach for his children's teams. He took pride in driving the church van every Sunday, welcoming individuals to share in the joy of fellowship. His singing in church was a testament to his love for God and his community, and he will be remembered for his passionate spirit.
Efrain was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Musqiz, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of love and partnership. He found love again with Maribel Lujan, whom he married on December 15, 2019, bringing new joy to his life. Efrain was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, proudly proclaiming his loyalty to the team.
Efrain's greatest treasures were his family and friends. He is survived by his spouse, Maribel Pinales, his children: Carlos Pinales, Raquel Acosta, Silvia Pinales, Guadalupe Ayala and wife, Pamela, Ivan Lujan, Brenda DeLeon and husband, Pedro, Loretha Morales and husband, Federico, Dayanna Lujan, Mauricio Lujan, Arlyn Lujan, Daniel de la Rosa. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Ramon Balderas, Javier Rodriguez, Conso Medina Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez, Hector Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Julia Rodriguez and Teresa Rodriguez DeLeon; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of Efrain's remarkable life will be held on December 14, 2024. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland, TX. with Bro. Eddy Gonzales officiate the service, honoring Efrain's legacy of love and kindness.
In honoring Efrain's life, let us come together as a community to celebrate his immense spirit, the laughter he shared, and the love he so freely gave. We invite everyone who knew him to join us in remembering a truly special man.
