Eleanor Ann Stockstill

Eleanor Ann Stockstill, 84, of Palo Pinto went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, December 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 30th at Lone Camp Community Center, with burial to follow in Doty Cemetery. A visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 29th also at Lone Camp Community Center. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Strawn.
Eleanor was born October 24, 1932 to James Dickson and Lillie Holder Dickson in Gordon, Texas. Eleanor was raised in Gordon and graduated in the Class of ’51, that same year she married William Terrance Stockstill on December 21st in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Palo Pinto Lake Water Board, and Tuesday Lunch Bunch. Eleanor’s hobbies included shopping and crocheting, but most of all she loved and cherished all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William Terrance Stockstill; son, Stanley Keith Stockstill and wife Susan; daughter, Neysa Formanek and husband Ralph; 2 brothers, Rayburn Dickson and wife Bonnie and Albert Dickson and wife Shirley; 5 grandchildren, Heather Edwards, Michael Formanek, Michele Phillips, Parker Stockstill, and Kelsey Stockstill; and 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorials can be made to Foster’s Home for Children 1779 N Graham St, Stephenville, TX 76401.
