Ella Aline Thompson

Ella Aline Thompson, 82 of San Antonio and formerly of Eastland, passed away Friday April 21, 2017 in San Antonio. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday Apr. 27th at the Eastland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday.
Ella was born on July 21, 1934 in Albany, TX to David Huber and Clara Amanda (Wernecke) Huber. She married Howard L. Thompson on September 3, 1955 in Cisco. She was the Cafeteria Supervisor for Eastland ISD for many years. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her sisters; Clara Stephenson, Mildred Johnson, and Emma Watts, brother, Bill Huber, a half-sister, Mozell Harris; and two half-brothers, John and Albert Huber.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Thompson, three daughters; Shirley Marusak of Shreveport, LA, Pam Schledwitz (Herb) of San Antonio, and Becky O’Neal, of Goose Creek, SC, one sister, Ester Barker, granddaughters; Cassie Chauncey, Sarah Macri, Kadie Dich, Abbi Long, and Rachel O’Neal, and eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
