Ellis A Clark

EASTLAND – Ellis A. Clark, 69, of Eastland, passed away in his home Wednesday June 4, 2014 in Eastland. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland with Chaplain E.J. Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gunsight Cemetery in Stephens County. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland on Friday from 6 until 8:00 p.m.
Ellis was born March 18, 1945 in Oakdale, TN to Venable & Dorothy Clark. He was a carpenter & a house mover in his younger days, and after retiring to Texas, he met and married Cheryl Miller on June 18, 2005. He became a rancher & farmer plus had a liquid cattle feed business in Eastland County. He continued with his carpentry skills around the farm, helping family & friends with whatever needs arose. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter Carrie Lynn Lewis; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; and his first wife, Norma Jean Lay Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Clark; 3 sons, Vincent Ellis Clark, Ellis Vincent Clark, and Benjamin Cisneros; a brother, Jerry Clark; and 5 grandchildren.
