Erma Lee Perrin

September 6, 1928 — January 31, 2014

On January 31, 2014 Erma Lee Perrin went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her husband Heulon Lamar Perrin, her Mother and Daddy, John and Inez Shook, two brothers Donley Shook and Grady Shook. Services were held at 2:00p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger. Visitation was Sunday 2-3 pm with burial at the Alameda Cemetery in Eastland Co. TX.
Erma Lee "Shook" Perrin was born to John and Inez Shook on Sept 6, 1928 in Jacksboro, Texas. They moved to Ranger where Erma Lee would graduate High School.
Erma Lee had a giving nature and soft heart and that is how she won the heart of Heulon Lamar Perrin. While Lamar was away serving his country in WWII, Erma Lee began writing letters to him. They had never met but Erma Lee continued writing Lamar so this soldier would always have a letter on mail day.
When Lamar returned to Ranger he began farming peanuts. Erma Lee went to the field to meet her soldier face to face. On April 21, 1947 Lamar and Erma Lee began their life as one in the Chaney Community. They raised three children; Heulon Lamar Perrin Jr, Barbara Elaine Edwards who is married to Joe Edwards of Ranger and David Bryan Perrin who is married to Darlene of Granbury. These three children brought Erma Lee more blessings with grandchildren; Jimmy Don Perrin married to Stacy of Lubbock; Christy O'Leary married to Dennis of Fredsrickburg; Cathy Collins married to Dan of Greensboro, NC; Joe Edwards Jr. of Ranger; Christoper Neil Perrin married to Amanda of Breckenridge, Shelbi Denae married to Carlos Valdez of Weatherford; Chris Bryan Perrin married to Angela of Ranger; Heath Harris married to Kaleena of Tucson, AZ; Kari Miller married to Paul of Lafayette, LA; Chadwick Palmer married to Lauren of Eastland and Taylor Palmer of Granbury. Erma Lee had 16 great grandchildren all of which she was so proud of and we will all miss her dearly.
