Floyd Wayne Goines

Floyd Wayne Goines, age 74 of Eastland Texas passed away on June 07, 2018 at Hendricks Medical Center due to pneumonia after battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Memorial services will be held on Monday June 11, 2018 at 10:00AM at Edwards Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Eastland Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home. His services will be officiated by Rex Boggs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, 5~7 p.m.
Floyd was born on October 19, 1943 in Dothan, Alabama. His parents were Floyd Arnold Goines and Etta Lorece (Brown) Goines. He was married to Coralie Goines and resided in Eastland, Texas for the last 32 years. Floyd was preceded in death by his Father, Floyd Arnold Goines, Mother Etta Lorece Brown and younger Brother, Donald Edward Goines.
He was previously married to Catherine Corege and together they had one daughter, Stacy Ann Trevino. Stacy and her husband Cippi reside in Petrolia, Tx. He has two grandsons, Justin Wayne Edwards and Brandon Cole Goines who both reside in Henrietta, Tx. He has one sister, Sue Marshall and her husband Jerry who live in California. He also has a niece Heidi and two nephews, Richard and Manny.
Floyd lived in California for many years working in a brass plant. He was a Master Machinist and Tool and Die Maker. He worked for EBAA Iron for twenty years until his retirement in July of 2006.
He really enjoyed being retired. His hobbies included riding his motorcycles, watching TV and driving around visiting with friends. He was an interesting guy to talk to, a role model, and a mentor for many. He will be missed.
