Frances Christine Johnson, 88, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Abilene, TX after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held for her at the First United Methodist Church in Eastland at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013. A private burial service will be held for the family.
Frances was a resident of Eastland, TX where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Suzannah Wesley Sunday School class. She also was a member of the Tuesday and Thursday Bridge Clubs and looked forward to playing every week. She had been an artist for most of her life and was a member of The Artists of Eastland County. She had won many awards from Houston and Eastland, Texas shows. Her paintings had been juried into the Breckenridge Fine Arts International Show many times. She was a retired employee of Exxon in Houston, TX.
Survivors include Randy and Judy Beskow of Lake Charles, LA, Craig and Jan Beskow of Cleburne, TX, B.J. and Lou Johnson of Eastland, TX, Logic and Cynthia Tobola of El Campo, TX, Jon and Virginia Pruet of Houston, TX, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.A. and Christine Beskow; a brother, Charles E. Beskow; a sister, Mary Faye Pruet; and her husband, Jack U. Johnson.
