Gabriel Alvarez Escobar, 78 of Strawn, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, November 17th at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn from 6-7 PM with Holy Rosary to begin at 7 PM. Services will be Monday, November 18th at St John’s Catholic Church in Strawn, Texas at 10:00 AM, burial will follow at Mt Marion Cemetery.
Gabriel was born March 24, 1941 to Juan Escobar and Natalia Alvarez Escobar in Acuna, Mexico. He worked as a Ranch hand at Bryan Heflin’s Ranch.
Gabriel is survived by sons, Juan Escobar and wife Alina and Gilbert Castaneda and wife Lucy; daughter, Nataliana Villareal and husband Antonio; brothers, Paz, Seferino, and Domingo Escobar; sister, Paula Hinojosa; and 9 grandchildren.
