Gary Wayne Fox, Sr. went to meet his Lord at 10:13am Friday September 11, 2020. Gary was born May 11, 1942. He was the son of Jessie Alfred "Shorty" Fox and Letha Deola Perrin Fox.

Gary was married April 25, 1965 to Billie Evalyn Fox in Gorman, TX.
They have resided in Weatherford, TX since 1998.

Survivors are his son Gary Wayne Fox, Jr. of Abilene, TX. A granddaughter Christanna Fox, of Abilene. Kolton Bryce Fox, great-grandson and Keilani Rose Fox, great-granddaughter both of Abilene, TX. He is survived by two brothers Virgil Gene "Rip" Fox and his wife Sharon of Pearland, Tx. Richard Glen Fox and his wife Christy of Temple, TX.
Five sisters; Lilian Ilene Beggs of Red Oak, TX. Lydia Margaret Harper and her husband Richard from Snyder, TX. Helen Rose Arrington and her husband Billy of Little Elm, TX. Mildred Diane Ferguson and husband Jerry of Hurst, Tx. Ruby Nell Bryant of Ft. Worth, TX. Gary is survived by numerous nieces, nephews as well as great nieces & great-nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his father J.A. "Shorty" Fox 1994. His mother Deola Fox preceded him 2014. Three brothers, Steve Rodney Fox 1985, Aubrey Lyn Fox 2006 & Freddie Luis Fox also in 2006. A baby sister who passed at birth.

Evalyn & Wayne will meet family & friends for visitation from 5pm-7pm Monday September 14th. at Edwards Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry Eastland, TX. Graveside service will be at 2pm Tuesday September 15th. at Evergreen Cemetery Ranger, TX. Edwards Funeral Home at Eastland, TX in charge. Pallbearers are: Kelly Joe Beggs of Arlington, TX, William Carl Fox of Princeton, TX Hank Ernest of Snyder, TX, Jerry Ferguson of Hurst, TX, David Stewart & Jeff Brazzell both of Weatherford, TX. Honorary Pallbearer is Chris Watson of Weatherford, TX. Pastor Caleb Shipman of Gospel Light House Baptist Church in Mineral Wells, TX will conduct the graveside service.

Family has requested in lieu of flowers to make a remembrance donation to Gospel Light Baptist Church 601 Country Club Pkwy. Mineral Wells, TX 76067 and/or to Texas Pythian Home 1825 E. Bankhead Hwy. Weatherford, TX 76086

Gary is a retired coach & teacher who taught in the Texas school system for 47yrs. before retiring in 2013. Gary is a 1960 graduate of Olden High School, Olden, TX. He graduated from North Texas State University in Denton, TX. Gary began his studies on his master degree program from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX and attended East Texas State University in Commerce, TX. Gary loved coaching and was a Master Level Track & Field official. In 1968 he was voted as "Coach of the Year" by his coaching peers. In July 2018 Gary was inducted into the 6-Man Coaches Hall of Fame. Gary is a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge #4 & a lifetime member of Texas State Teacher Association
